Shock Wave (Acoustic Wave) Therapy: Advanced Preventative & Restorative Care

What is Acoustic Wave Therapy?

Acoustic therapy is used to treat both acute and chronic pain in the muscles and joints. It’s commonly used to relieve painful conditions such as plantar fasciitis with heel spurs, tennis elbow, jumper’s knee, and arthritis.

What Does Acoustic Wave Therapy Treat?

Therapy TreatAcoustic therapy is used to treat both acute and chronic pain in the muscles and joints. It’s commonly used to relieve painful conditions such as plantar fasciitis with heel spurs, tennis elbow, jumper’s knee, and arthritis.

It’s particularly useful in the treatment of pain caused by:

  • Myofascial dysfunction
  • Tendinopathy and tendonitis
  • Trigger points
  • Repetitive stress injuries
  • Enthesopathy
  • Soft tissue strain

In addition to pain management, AWT provides optimal blood flow and muscle response for post workout recovery and preventative care for athletes and active individuals. This therapy is utilized by most teams in the NFL, MLS, MLB, NHL, and MBA as the preferred preventative care with no downtime.

The Miracle Wave® is a new, non-invasive treatment solution that uses high-intensity sound waves (or acoustic pulses) which interact with damaged or inflamed tissues of the body.
The Miracle Wave® helps stimulate the body’s natural, self-healing process by:

  • temporarily increasing local blood circulation
  • relieving minor muscle aches and pains
  • raising the body’s pain threshold

Additionally, our technology is designed to expedite recovery from most damaged tissue injuries without the use of anesthesia and prescription drugs in order to endure treatment.

The Miracle Wave® therapy on their patients have reported post-treatment results such as:

  • relaxation of muscle and connective tissue
  • improved microcirculation
  • noticeably elevated stimulation across the injured area
  • acceleration of metabolic activity
  • heightened neurovascular performance
  • increased serotonin hormone release
  • significant stress reduction as a result of lowered cortisol levels
  • overall revitalization, following a patient’s completed course of treatment

What Does A Treatment Include?

During the procedure, you simply lay back as a wand is gently moved over the surface of your skin, sending sound waves to the target area. The waves are caused by a sound made from a mechanical energy you can hear as a tapping inside of the wand.

Each session takes under 15 minutes to complete. Most conditions require between 3-6 treatments with greater effects occurring throughout an entire treatment package.
