VNG Testing with NOTCPro Rotary Chair

Advanced Insights. Accurate Answers.

Measure subtle reflexes and eye movements. This gives us powerful insight into how your brain and body interact where support is most needed.

What Is VNG Testing?

VNG (Videonystagmography) is a non-invasive assessment that helps us understand how your brain processes balance, motion, and sensory input.

At The Hartman Center, we perform advanced VNG testing with multi-axial rotary chair analysis to see how your brain and body respond to movement and changes in position. Using the Spryson NOTC Pro Rotary Chair and high-resolution Neurolign eye-tracking technology, we measure eye movements and reflexes in real time.

This allows us to clearly see what may be contributing to your symptoms, even when other tests have come back normal. It gives us a more complete understanding of what’s going on and helps us guide you toward the right kind of support for meaningful, lasting improvement.

Who Should Consider VNG?

VNG Testing may be the right next step if you are experiencing:

Dizziness or vertigo

Sensitivity to motion or light

Brain fog or difficulty concentrating

Post-concussion symptoms

Reading or visual tracking challenges

Problems with balance or coordination

Sensory overload or cognitive fatigue

Visual overstimulation or environmental sensitivity

If traditional tests have come up short, VNG can uncover the root of the issue.

How It Works

The result is faster, smarter recovery with less pain and more functional movement.

Setup andPreparation

You’re seated in the rotating NOTC Pro Chair and fitted with infrared goggles that track your eye movements with precision.

Eye and Reflex Testing

As you follow simple visual targets, we record how your eyes and reflexes respond under different motion conditions, including stillness and rotation.

Results and Recommendations

Your results are reviewed alongside your symptoms to guide a personalized care plan, which may include therapies like Arrowsmith Brain Training, NeuFit Therapy, or others based on your needs.

What to Expect

Duration

The test is non-invasive and takes about 30 to 45 minutes

Mild sensations

You may feel mild dizziness during the rotating portions, but it fades quickly

Preparation

No preparation is required. Just wear comfortable clothing

Transportation

If you're sensitive to motion, we recommend arranging for someone to drive you home

Follow-Up

Results are reviewed with you in a follow-up visit, where we begin building your customized healing strategy

Support

Our team guides you through each step and monitors you throughout the test to ensure you feel safe and comfortable

Why It Matters?

Your brainstem, vestibular system, and visual system all communicate through movement. VNG Testing captures these interactions and transforms them into meaningful insights.

By identifying breakdowns in sensory processing, we can guide the right therapies, not just to treat symptoms, but
to restore neurological function.

Related Conditions

VNG Testing provides valuable insights for diagnosing and treating:

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)

Orthostatic Intolerance

Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction

Energy Crashes and Fatigue

Sensitivity to Stress or Physical Exertion
